Police in Oslo discovered a deceased person in an elevator in the Grønland district on Saturday morning, classifying the death as suspicious, Dagbladet reports.
Emergency responders were called to the scene after reports of an unconscious individual in the elevator. “Life-saving measures were attempted but unfortunately unsuccessful, and the person was declared dead,” operations manager Gabriel Langfeldt wrote in the police log. The deceased has not yet been identified.
Forensic investigators are en route to the location. “Due to the circumstances at the scene, we consider the death suspicious,” Langfeldt stated, adding that police are exploring multiple hypotheses. Authorities have declined to disclose further details to avoid compromising the investigation.
