Swedish fighter jets monitor Russian submarine in Kattegatt

Swedish Armed Forces fighter jets are tracking a Russian Kilo-class submarine moving through the Kattegatt strait, the military announced in a statement on Friday.

According to the Swedish Armed Forces, the operation is being conducted in coordination with allied forces as the submarine continues toward the Baltic Sea. The mission is described as part of routine defence activities aimed at “ensuring Swedish and allied territorial integrity.”
