Thousands of massive tree trunks wash ashore on Danish west coast
A thousand giant tree trunks have appeared on Niels Christians Strand at Vejlby Klit on Denmark’s west coast after falling from a Norwegian ship during Easter, reports Danish broadcaster DR. Cleanup operations began on Friday.
The driftwood, described as unusually large timber, was lost at sea when it slid off the vessel’s deck in rough conditions. Authorities have now started removing the trunks from the beach area.
