The Häme police have discovered e-cigarettes containing synthetic drugs in the possession of minors. In a recent announcement, the police stated that these confiscated e-cigarettes have been sent for further examination to the National Bureau of Investigation. Preliminary investigations revealed that the e-cigarettes contained synthetic cannabinoids, which are prohibited psychoactive substances on the consumer market in Finland, commonly referred to as synthetic drugs.

According to the police statement, several cases have emerged in Häme in a short span of time. The police classify the possession of these e-cigarettes as illegal, describing it as an act of engaging with prohibited imports.

The rising trend of e-cigarette use among young people is a cause for concern for law enforcement. The police are urging parents and guardians to take responsibility by educating themselves about the issue and engaging in discussions with their children regarding the risks associated with these products.
