Norwegian police are questioning a person after a possible shotgun was discharged inside a room at Clarion Hotel The Hub in Oslo early Friday, Dagbladet reports.

Emergency services responded to a fire alarm at the hotel around 5:30 AM local time. Initial reports suggested fireworks may have been set off, but police later confirmed evidence pointed to a shotgun round being fired.

“There are traces indicating a shot was fired, possibly from a shotgun,” operations manager Anders Aas stated in an update at 6:20 AM. No injuries have been reported, and police have secured a person connected to the incident.

The hotel began evacuating guests after smoke was detected coming from the affected room. Authorities are investigating the cause and have not yet provided further details.
