A €1.2 billion data centre campus under construction in Lahti could accommodate multiple tenants beyond TikTok, according to industry experts and the Singaporean developer behind the project.
The facility, being built by Singapore-based DayOne, is set for completion by late 2027, with TikTok already confirmed as the anchor tenant. In a statement to Finnish broadcaster Yle, the company said the Lahti campus is designed to serve multiple clients, with several buildings planned for the site.
Antti Poikola, director of the Finnish Data Center Association, told Yle that while a single tenant could occupy an entire centre, it is more common for facilities to host multiple users. He did not rule out additional tenants joining TikTok in the Lahti complex.
The project reflects Finland’s growing appeal as a data centre hub, driven by factors such as cool climate, renewable energy access, and stable infrastructure. The Lahti investment alone represents one of the largest of its kind in the Nordic region.
DayOne declined to comment on ongoing negotiations with potential additional tenants.
