Train safety system fault causes delays on Finland’s main rail line

A technical fault in the train safety system is causing delays on Finland’s main railway line, with trains forced to reduce speed between Purola and Jokela, state-owned traffic operator Fintraffic reported on Tuesday.

The issue affects all trains passing through the fault location on the primary route, leading to estimated delays of 15–20 minutes. Maintenance crews are investigating the problem, but no timeline for repairs has been provided.
