Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Oslo

A pedestrian has been seriously injured and rushed to the emergency department after being struck by a vehicle in Oslo on Wednesday morning, reports Dagbladet.

The victim was unconscious when transported by ambulance, according to Vidar Pedersen, operations manager for emergency services. The cause of the accident remains unknown, and authorities are investigating at the scene.

“The road will likely be closed for an extended period,” Pedersen said. The pedestrian arrived at the hospital at 07:35 AM but remained unconscious.

Emergency responders are in contact with the driver involved, Pedersen added.
