The Faroese insurance company Betri trygging recorded an 88 million krona surplus last year, despite paying out 342 million krona in claims, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Total revenue reached 563 million krona, with 342 million allocated to damage compensation for 12,600 customers. CEO Ingunn Eirikisdóttir noted that no major storms occurred in 2025, which influenced the number of claims, payouts, and the final result.

The surplus of 88 million krona exceeds the previous year’s figure. The company also saw growth in its customer base and higher returns on investments.
