Approximately 400,000 people have signed a petition calling for the release of Paul Watson, who is currently in custody in Nuuk, Greenland.

Supporters of Watson have posted a letter on the Captain Paul Watson Foundation’s website addressed to the Danish Ministry of Justice, urging them not to extradite him to Japan.

Individuals can sign the letter and send it via email to the Ministry of Justice.

Additionally, the public is encouraged to coordinate protests at Danish embassies and to provide financial support for the efforts to secure Watson’s release.

Paul Watson was arrested in the Greenlandic capital on Sunday and is being held until August 15, as confirmed by the Greenlandic Supreme Court.

The Danish Ministry of Justice will determine whether Watson will be extradited to Japan.

Watson’s ship, the John Paul DeJoria, is currently anchored south of Nuuk.
