Finland should reduce reliance on US technology, expert warns
Finland must decrease its dependence on American technology, according to a leading data management expert. Jyrki Nummenmaa, a professor of computer science at Tampere University specialising in large-scale data handling, told Finnish news agency STT that critical government data should be stored within Finland or elsewhere in Europe.
The call follows recent demands by Finnish politicians to reduce digital reliance on the United States.
