Faroe Islands deep-sea fish exports nearly double in value

The export value of tusk, redfish, and ling from the Faroe Islands surged by nearly 90 percent last year compared to 2024, according to a new report from the Faroese Pelagic Fishermen’s Association.

The total export value of these deep-sea species reached 803 million Danish kroner (DKK) in 2025, up from 425 million DKK in 2024. Tusk alone more than doubled in value, with exports rising from 205 million DKK in 2024 to 436 million DKK in 2025.

The figures were published in the association’s annual report, highlighting a sharp increase in demand for Faroese deep-sea fish.
