Coalition negotiations between the Faroese People’s Party, Union Party, and Social Democratic Party appear to be dominated by one party’s style, according to political commentator Jóhann Lützen.

Speaking to Faroese national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya, Lützen noted that Beinir Johannesen, leader of the People’s Party, is adopting a negotiating approach reminiscent of a former party leader from the same region. “This is a People’s Party style—he says a lot, but not quite enough,” Lützen said.

The talks, currently underway, involve the three parties exploring potential cooperation in government.
