A series of overnight developments saw former US president Donald Trump threaten escalated strikes against Iran, a high-speed collision in Sweden, and drone attacks over Russia.

In a late-night social media post, Trump declared that “there is still much left to bomb in Iran,” warning that bridges would be targeted next, followed by power plants. His statement comes after a bridge in Iran was struck in an attack on Thursday, SVT Nyheter reports.

Two injured in high-speed crash near Stockholm

Two vehicles collided head-on in Märsta, north of Stockholm, leaving two people hospitalized. Emergency services described the crash as high-speed.

“It appears to have happened at high velocity,” said Jonas Wahlstrand, operations officer for the local rescue service.

Drones downed over Moscow and Leningrad region

Russian authorities reported shooting down drones approaching Moscow between midnight and 2 a.m. local time on Friday. Additional drones were intercepted over the Leningrad region near the Gulf of Finland.
