Property manager suspected of multiple aggravated embezzlements in South Ostrobothnia
A property manager in South Ostrobothnia is under investigation for allegedly embezzling over €400,000 from housing associations, according to a report by Finnish public broadcaster Yle.
The Ostrobothnia Police suspect the individual, who managed around 35 housing companies—most located in Seinäjoki—of transferring funds to personal accounts, their own company, and between different housing associations. The alleged offences include multiple counts of aggravated embezzlement, embezzlement, aggravated accounting offences, and forgery.
During the investigation, a district court ordered the seizure of over €300,000 of the suspect’s assets as collateral. The police launched the probe in autumn 2024, focusing on activities between 2016 and 2025. The pre-trial investigation has now concluded, and the case has been referred to the prosecution for consideration of charges.
