Finnish police suspect homicide in Kiuruvesi after body found on property
Finnish police are investigating a suspected homicide in the town of Kiuruvesi after a man’s body was discovered on a property in March, public broadcaster Yle reports.
The victim, a man born in the 1950s, was the owner of the property where the body was found. Authorities have detained one person in connection with the case.
The property is located outside the main built-up area of Kiuruvesi. Police have not disclosed whether the suspect and the victim knew each other, nor have they provided further details about the circumstances of the death.
An emergency call alerted police to the discovery of the body on March 19, according to a statement from Eastern Finland Police.
