Bus crashes into tree on Helsinki’s Mannerheimintie road – one injured

A bus veered off the road and struck a tree on Helsinki’s Mannerheimintie near the former Tilkka military hospital on Tuesday, leaving one passenger with minor injuries, reports Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

Emergency services responded after receiving an alert at 10:40 AM. Police, rescue crews, and paramedics are on the scene. According to initial reports, the bus was traveling at low speed when it collided with the tree.

There were 22 passengers aboard at the time of the incident. Authorities are investigating the cause and treating the case as a potential traffic safety violation.

The crash occurred outside the former central military hospital in the Tilkka area.
