Helsinki sells Haltiala farmstead for €200,000
The city of Helsinki has sold the Haltiala farmstead to a family-run business from Lumijoki for €200,000, according to a report by Finnish broadcaster Yle.
The buyer, which operates Lännentila farm in Lumijoki, acquired the property along with 31 buildings and structures, as well as the farm’s animals. The agreement also includes a lease for the land, costing approximately €21,000 per year.
In addition to the purchase price, the buyer has committed to constructing a new barn. The farm’s petting zoo will remain open to visitors in the spring, as stated in the city’s press release.
