The private healthcare provider Pihlajalinna has initiated restructuring negotiations in Northern Pirkanmaa, potentially affecting 180 jobs, reports Finnish broadcaster Yle. The move follows the transfer of social and healthcare services in Virrat and Ruovesi from the Keiuru regional authority to Pihlajalinna.
The company plans to reorganise and standardise its outsourced social and healthcare service operations across the entire Northern Pirkanmaa region. The negotiations will determine the scope of potential layoffs and operational changes.
Pihlajalinna took over the provision of social and healthcare services in Virrat and Ruovesi after the municipalities outsourced the services earlier this year.
