Faroese coalition talks continue with positive progress
Coalition negotiations between the Faroese Centre Party, Union Party, and Social Democratic Party resumed on Wednesday, with the lead negotiator reporting good progress.
According to Beinir Johannesen, transport minister and chairman of the Centre Party, talks are proceeding well. The discussions are taking place at the Faroese Labour Federation building in Tórshavn, where the parliament has rented space.
The negotiations will continue until Wednesday evening, with further meetings scheduled for Saturday and again on Tuesday after the Easter break. The first parliamentary session following the election is set for Friday, April 10, unless the prime minister calls an earlier meeting.
