Finnish private healthcare company Pihlajalinna has initiated new restructuring negotiations that could lead to up to 270 layoffs, reports national broadcaster Yle.

The talks will affect around 2,100 employees—nearly half of the company’s 4,500-strong workforce—according to a preliminary assessment. Pihlajalinna cited weak demand for healthcare services due to broader economic uncertainty as the reason behind the planned cuts.

In 2025, the company reported revenue of €652 million. The latest negotiations follow a previous round of restructuring talks that concluded in October, which resulted in 88 job terminations and significant changes to 92 other positions.
