Pharmacy to remain in temporary municipal premises until 2027

The pharmacy in Tvøroyri will continue operating from its current temporary location in municipal-owned facilities until 1 August 2027, following a decision by the local council, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The pharmacy was forced to relocate last summer after blue mould was discovered in its original building on Sjógøta. The municipality initially agreed to lease the temporary premises for one year, with the option to extend until the end of 2026. The council has now approved an extension until summer 2027.

Remediation work on the original pharmacy building is ongoing.
