The Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) advises residents to begin checking for ticks as the warmer season arrives.

With temperatures rising, ticks become more active, increasing the risk of bites. Health authorities recommend thorough checks after outdoor activities, particularly in grassy or wooded areas.

Ticks can carry diseases such as Lyme disease, making early detection and removal important. Experts suggest using fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible and pulling upward with steady pressure.
