Oversight body established for rights of persons with disabilities in Faroe Islands

In 2009, the Faroe Islands signed the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A stipulation of this agreement mandated the establishment of an oversight body to ensure compliance with the treaty’s conditions.

Finally, 15 years later, this oversight body has been set up.
