German supermarket chain Lidl has issued a warning about its Ritter Sport Nugat 100g chocolate bars after some were sold with incorrect labels, omitting critical allergen information, reports Finnish public broadcaster Yle.

The mislabeled bars were found to have ingredient stickers for dark chocolate instead of the correct hazelnut and milk chocolate listing. The error means the packaging fails to disclose the presence of hazelnuts and milk, both of which can trigger severe allergic reactions.

Hazelnut allergies, in particular, can cause life-threatening responses in highly sensitive individuals. Lidl advises customers who purchased the affected product to return it to any store for a full refund.

The recall applies specifically to Ritter Sport Nugat 100g bars with incorrect dark chocolate labels.
