Salvation Army surprises Faroese journalist Sigrún Brend at home for her 65th birthday

The Faroese Salvation Army paid an unexpected visit to journalist Sigrún Brend’s home in Tórshavn on Thursday to celebrate her 65th birthday, national broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Known for her sharp instincts as a reporter, Brend was caught off guard when members of the Salvation Army arrived at her door in the Nabb neighbourhood. The group had come to offer their congratulations in person, creating a lively scene on the steps of her building.

Brend, a seasoned journalist, is typically quick to pick up on news—but this time, the Salvation Army’s “antennas” proved stronger, as the broadcaster noted.
