Faroese parliament elects new members in 2026 vote
Voters in the Faroe Islands have elected a new parliament, with several candidates securing seats in Thursday’s general election, public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Among those elected are Emma Marcer Højgaard, Jústinus Olsendjóralækni, Kári P. Leivsson (Kári P), Anna Falkenberg, and Sirið Stenberg, according to images published by the broadcaster.
The election determines the 33 representatives of the Løgting, the Faroese parliament, for the next four-year term. Official results and seat allocations are expected to be finalised in the coming hours.
