The Faroese public broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya has launched an online tool allowing voters to simulate their ballot choices before the upcoming parliamentary election.

Called Valgitt (The Election Choice), the platform lets users review all registered candidates and select the 33 they believe should enter parliament. Ólavur Ellefsen, one of the tool’s developers, told KVF that everyone is welcome to try it, and users can choose whether to share their simulated ballot on social media.

“In all cases, we will publish the overall results,” Ellefsen said. “We can hold an unofficial vote count at 8 PM, where we compare all the submissions and calculate an average ballot.”

Voters interested in testing their preferences can access the tool here.
