Finnish government proposes shorter notice periods for landlords in long-term tenancies
The Finnish government has submitted a legislative proposal to parliament that would reduce the notice period landlords must give in long-term rental agreements, reports national news agency STT.
Under the proposed changes to the Tenancies Act, the standard notice period for landlords would be shortened from six months to four months. Additionally, the extended notice period would only apply after a tenancy has lasted two years, rather than the current one-year threshold.
The government presented the draft law to parliament on Tuesday.
