Labour Party warns Centre Party’s coalition with Conservatives would break budget agreement
The Labour Party (Ap) will present its own tax and duty relief proposal on Thursday, while accusing the Centre Party (Sp) of violating the government’s budget agreement by aligning with the Conservative Party (Høyre), Dagbladet reports.
Finance policy spokesperson Tuva Moflag stated that Labour’s proposal would urge the government to revisit tax and compensation measures through a revised budget. “We will ensure the situation is taken seriously and that measures do not make things worse,” Moflag said.
When asked whether the Centre Party’s potential cooperation with the Conservatives would breach the budget deal, Moflag replied: “If it gains a majority today, it will be a violation of the agreement.”
