The peak of Finland’s exceptionally long flu season has now passed, according to the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), as reported by news agency STT. While the worst of the epidemic is over, flu activity remains moderate in most parts of the country.

THL noted that visits to health centres for flu-like symptoms have also declined. This flu season began earlier than usual and has lasted longer, with higher infection rates compared to previous years.

Other viruses, including RSV, norovirus, and coronavirus, are still circulating to some extent.
