Teenage girl seriously injured in assault in Kouvola park

A teenage girl was seriously injured in an assault in Salpapuisto park in Kouvola, southeastern Finland, on Tuesday evening, according to Southeast Finland Police. Both the victim and the suspect are underage girls.

Police received a report of the incident shortly after 6:30 p.m. The suspect had left the scene by the time officers and emergency services arrived. The victim was given first aid and taken to hospital for treatment.
