Ikea recalls crown candles due to fire and burn hazard

Ikea is recalling its Smöjträd crown candles after discovering a safety risk, the company announced on Tuesday. Customers who purchased the product are urged to stop using them immediately and contact Ikea’s customer service.

The recall affects candles with product numbers 606-131-05, 406-131-06, 306-371-84, and 006-371-85, sold between 1 June 2025 and 4 March 2026. The candles come in beige, green, light green, and light pink colours.

According to Ikea, some of the candles may contain extra wick threads mixed with the old ones, posing a fire and burn risk. The company also advises customers to inform others who may have received, borrowed, or purchased the product second-hand.
