Faroese election candidates debate Ørasund Tunnel in live event

Four candidates from Faroese political parties will debate the proposed Ørasund Tunnel project in a live event on Sunday evening, Faroese broadcaster Kringvarp Føroya reports.

Representing their respective parties are Birgir Ferjá Heldarskarð of the Union Party, Jóhan M. Stenberg of the Self-Government Party, Hergeir Teitsson of the Republic Party, and Vilhelm Hendrik í Skálanum of the Centre Party.

The live discussion, titled “Valevni viðmerkja Trapputingið á Oyrasundi” (Election Candidates Discuss the Ørasund Tunnel), will address the controversial infrastructure proposal connecting the Faroe Islands.
