The Danish Tax Agency (Skattestyrelsen) has granted early access to this year’s tax assessments, with over 180,000 people already queuing to check their 2025 returns, DR reports.

While the official launch is scheduled for Monday, the agency has followed its recent tradition of allowing a “sneak peek” starting the Friday before. In a press release, the agency noted that adjustments and corrections may still occur in the self-service system (TastSelv) before the official opening, and users may experience longer wait times.

Ulrick Junge, deputy director at Skattestyrelsen, encouraged taxpayers to review their figures carefully once access is granted. “Right now, the first citizens are logging in to see whether their assessment for last year ends in a red or green balance,” he said. He advised checking that all relevant deductions—such as travel or home improvement expenses—are correctly reported, as some must be entered manually.

Last year, around 3.1 million people accessed TastSelv during the weekend before the official opening. The final deadline to amend the 2025 tax assessment is 20 May, with any refunds due to be paid from 24 April.
