Norðoya Sparikassi, a Faroese savings bank, recorded a loss of 30.2 million krona after tax in 2025, according to its annual statement. The figure represents a decline from the previous year’s profit of 47.9 million krona after tax.

The bank attributed the loss to lower interest income and one-off expenses. Despite the setback, management expressed satisfaction with overall operations, citing a 4.5 percent increase in lending—reaching 2.35 billion krona—and a 9.3 percent rise in deposits, nearing 3 billion krona.

Net interest income stood at 34.6 million krona, described as “satisfactory.” The bank also highlighted its strong liquidity and solid capital position.
