Justice Chancellor drops hate speech investigation into Dumpen
Sweden’s Justice Chancellor has dropped a hate speech investigation into the vigilante website Dumpen, SVT Nyheter reports.
The preliminary investigation concerned a reader comment on Dumpen that contained derogatory language about gay people and had remained online for more than a year. The Justice Chancellor notified Dumpen of the comment and gave the site two weeks to remove it or face further action. In response, Dumpen removed its entire comments section.
The investigation has now been closed.
