Tórshavn requests additional first-grade class at Sankta Frans school

The Tórshavn city council will ask the Faroese government for permission to open an extra first-grade class at Sankta Frans school next academic year, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The decision was unanimously approved at a recent council meeting. The municipality had previously requested two additional first-grade classes for next year from the Children and Education Committee but was granted only one, which will be located at the school in Fløtum.

As this does not fully meet demand, the city will now seek approval for a second class at Sankta Frans school.
