Iceland’s former prime minister Davíð Oddsson buried in Reykjavík
The funeral of Davíð Oddsson, Iceland’s longest-serving prime minister, was held today in Reykjavík, national broadcaster RÚV reports.
Oddsson, who led the country from 1991 to 2004 and later served as foreign minister and central bank governor, died earlier this month at the age of 76. The service took place at Reykjavík’s Hallgrímskirkja, with state and public figures in attendance.
