Several violent incidents reported overnight in Møre og Romsdal

Police in Møre og Romsdal responded to multiple reports of violence and public disturbances during the night leading into Sunday.

In Ålesund, eight young people aged 16–25 were involved in a fight near Hellebrua bridge in the city centre at 23:09. All fled the scene upon police arrival, and no injuries were reported.

At 00:36 in Molde, a man in his 20s was arrested after refusing to comply with police orders to leave the city centre following a drunken disturbance.

In Volda, two young men were removed from a Circle K petrol station at 01:12 for causing a disturbance.

A call in Kristiansund at 01:23 about an assault revealed that the alleged attacker had spilled coffee on the victim. The man was banned from the city centre and reported for obstructing police.

At 01:51 in Molde, a man in his 20s was arrested after attempting to fight with bouncers and staff outside a nightlife venue.

In Ålesund at 01:55, a woman allegedly struck another woman with a handbag and an open hand during an argument over a man. The suspect was removed from the area, and police filed a report.

The most serious incident occurred at 02:39 in Ålesund, where a man was knocked to the ground near Harald Torviksplass, suffering dental injuries and a laceration requiring stitches. The suspect was arrested, and the victim was taken to hospital.
