Ambulance plane lands safely despite technical issues

An ambulance plane that reported problems with its landing gear safely landed at Høybuktmoen early Sunday morning. The plane circled above the Høybuktmoen airfield for about an hour before landing safely.

The control tower at Høybuktmoen airfield in Sør-Varanger reported late Saturday evening that the ambulance plane had issues with its landing gear. Emergency services immediately responded to the airfield.

According to iFinnmark, the ambulance plane took off from Tromsø Airport at 22:15 with a scheduled landing in Kirkenes at 23:24. At midnight, the plane was still circling the area, which was also observed via the monitoring service Flightradar. Shortly before 00:30, the police reported that the plane had landed safely without any issues.
