Children in west Jutland are feeling increasingly unsafe due to the presence of wolves in the area. According to a recent survey, many children now prefer to have their parents accompany them when they go outside to play.

The survey, conducted by the local municipality, found that nearly 60% of children aged 6 to 12 expressed concerns about encountering wolves while playing outside. This has led to a significant decrease in the number of children playing outdoors unsupervised.

“I used to play with my friends in the woods, but now I’m afraid,” said one 10-year-old girl. “I’d rather have mom and dad with me when I go outside.”

Local authorities are taking the concerns seriously and are working on measures to ensure the safety of children in the area. This includes increased patrols in parks and wooded areas, as well as educational campaigns to teach children and parents about wolf behavior and how to stay safe.

The wolf population in Denmark has been steadily increasing in recent years, leading to more frequent sightings in both rural and urban areas. While wolves generally avoid human contact, their presence has raised concerns among parents and children alike.
