Reykjavik City is projecting a budget surplus of 1.3 billion Icelandic krona for the upcoming year, following the approval of the municipal financial plan. The city aims to operate with an increasing surplus over the next five years as part of its longer-term financial strategy, which was also finalized. The financial forecast indicates that the city’s operational revenues are expected to reach 199 billion krona, while operational expenditures are estimated at 185 billion krona.
