Eysturoy Tunnel traffic increases in November despite drop from October in Faroe Islands
In November, over 6,000 vehicles traversed the Eysturoy Tunnel, marking an increase of about 50 vehicles compared to the same month last year. However, this figure is 340 lower than the traffic recorded in October of this year, according to data from the tunnel company.
For the upcoming year, projections indicate that six out of the twelve months will see traffic exceeding 6,000 vehicles daily through the tunnel.
The figures for the Sandoy Tunnel show an average of 891 vehicles per day in November, a drop from 984 vehicles in October.
Meanwhile, the Vágatunnel averaged 2,435 vehicles in November, which is a slight decrease compared to the same month last year and the previous year.
Traffic through the Norðoy Tunnel also reflected a decrease compared to last year, with an average of 4,010 vehicles in November of this year.
