Negotiations begin between Starvsfelagið labor union and Faroese Employers’ Association in Faroe Islands

Today, negotiations are set to begin between the Starvsfelagið labor union and the Faroese Employers’ Association regarding contracts for employees at Føroya Tele, Posta, and Vága Airport.

Five negotiation sessions have been tentatively scheduled. The aim is to establish new contracts before the current ones expire. The existing agreements are valid until January 1st.

Last week, the parties exchanged demands for the new contracts during a meeting on Wednesday.

The negotiation process is designed to facilitate joint discussions wherever feasible and sensible, particularly for larger institutions. For matters that are specific to individual entities, those will be addressed separately.
