Klaksvik hospital receives two million kroner budget allocation for MRI scanner operation
The hospital in Klaksvik is set to receive a budget allocation of two million Danish kroner for the operation of its MRI scanner in the upcoming fiscal year. This funding includes 1.2 million kroner designated specifically for salaries, with additional costs accounted for utilities such as electricity and other operational necessities.
Details of the funding were revealed in a document submitted to the finance committee. Klaksvik hospital informed the Ministry of Health that the additional expenses associated with the MRI scanner are estimated to be 250,000 kroner for consumables, 350,000 kroner for increased electricity costs, and 300,000 kroner for service agreements with the equipment provider.
Alexandra á Dul, the director of the hospital, noted that these anticipated costs were expected when the scanner was acquired.
