Military truck veers off road near Väätäiskylä, Highway 18 closed to traffic

A military truck has veered off the road approximately four kilometers from Väätäiskylä, heading toward Multia. Consequently, Highway 18 between Väätäiskylä and Saikanjoki is closed to traffic due to the accident. The emergency services report that there are a few individuals with minor injuries from the incident. Authorities, including the police and military, will provide updates regarding the condition and number of those injured.

The incident was reported to emergency services around 2:30 PM on Saturday. Road conditions in the Multia area have been slippery due to recent snowfall and temperatures around freezing.
