A recent fishing expedition has resulted in one of the largest sales recorded from a deep-sea fishing trip, according to the captain of the vessel. The crew returned from a successful outing on the Faroe Bank, where they caught a significant quantity of large cod, referred to as “one-year-olds.”
The market price for the cod has been remarkably high, with the crew selling their largest catch at 39.20 DKK per kilogram. In addition to the cod, they also secured a substantial amount of haddock and ling, both of which fetched favorable prices.
The total revenue from this trip exceeded half a million DKK. The crew departed for another fishing venture just yesterday, already making their way back with a focus on catching more ling this time around.
