Armed groups in Syria have made significant advances in Aleppo, reportedly seizing control of half the city. Concurrently, Syrian authorities have suspended all flights at Aleppo’s airport, according to military sources.

In a separate incident in Gothenburg, Sweden, four men have been arrested on charges of serious sexual assault in the Gårdsten area. Police responded to the scene late Friday night, and two women were taken to the hospital. The current status of their injuries remains unclear.

Meanwhile, Ireland is facing an intensely competitive parliamentary election. Recent exit polls indicate that the three leading political parties are expected to receive between 19 and 21 percent of the votes, reflecting a closely fought contest.
