On Wednesday afternoon, law enforcement officials announced a raid at a farm in the municipality of Indre Fosen, located in Trøndelag. During the operation, seven individuals were detained, with preliminary evidence suggesting that cannabis production was taking place on the premises.

Authorities are currently in the early stages of the investigation and are working to assess the scale of the operation. It has been reported that cannabis plants, seeds, and equipment associated with cultivation have been confiscated.

The seven arrested individuals, all men and Polish nationals, range in age from their 20s to their 60s. They are set to appear before a local court on Friday for a hearing regarding pre-trial detention.

The legal proceedings are characterized as relating to serious drug offenses. One of the defendants has partially admitted guilt, while other attorneys representing the accused have stated that their clients deny the charges against them.

Prosecutors are requesting a three-week detention for all seven individuals, citing concerns about possible evidence tampering and the likelihood of them evading prosecution if released. They are also seeking two weeks of isolation and restrictions on communication and visits during this period.

As the investigation unfolds, further details regarding the extent of the cannabis production and its distribution are anticipated.
